A company is planning to build a factory in VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park this August, with operations expected to commence by July 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 22, leaders of the Can Tho City People\u2019s Committee held a working session with VSIP Can Tho JSC to address challenges facing the VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A representative from VSIP Can Tho JSC stated that approximately 60% of the infrastructure for the industrial park has been completed. The site is expected to be ready for handover to secondary investors by the third quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four companies have committed to investing in the VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park. Among them, Bestway has officially signed an agreement with a total investment capital of USD 300 million. The company began implementing the project in April 2025 on a 28.6-hectare site and plans to start construction this August, aiming to commence operations by July 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remaining three companies, with a combined investment of USD 100 million, are prepared to sign agreements as soon as VSIP Can Tho JSC obtains its land use right certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To alleviate the financial burden of paying a one-time land lease fee of approximately VND 1,163 billion, the company has requested that the Can Tho People\u2019s Committee approve a switch from one-time payment to an annual land rental payment scheme. They also asked for the land use right certificate to be issued within August 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VSIP Can Tho JSC has also asked the city government to support Bestway in completing investment registration procedures and assist other secondary investors with similar processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Tran Van Lau, Chairman of the Can Tho City People\u2019s Committee, affirmed the city's commitment to resolving difficulties for businesses and accelerating the progress of the VSIP Can Tho project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He instructed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to promptly propose an adjustment of the land use payment method from a lump sum to annual rental payments. He also requested the issuance of the land use right certificate within August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding 132 households who have received compensation but have yet to hand over their land due to a lack of resettlement housing, Mr. Lau directed the development of a temporary relocation plan. He also requested the approval and announcement of resettlement land prices and the handover of plots to households for home construction.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
